Company Information: Alba, formerly known as Full Moon Grill, has moved to a new location in the Village Shopping Center. The new name reflects owners Rick and Susan Stein's passion for the food and wines of Italy, particularly the area around the city in Piemonte for which the restaurant is named. Both waiters said to go for the shrimp and scallop risotto, but what did I do, I went for the duck with cherry sauce, just because I've never much liked risotto. Well, I wasn't disappointed! The duck was the best I've ever had. My friend had the pork tenderloin. It was the best pork I've ever tasted! They both came with polenta. I've never much been too enthusiastic about polenta. I mean, have you ever had an exciting polenta? Well, Alba makes a great polenta! There was one mysterious substance that came with the bread. It was this brown flaky stuff. I gave it a try. My friend asked me what it was. "It's olives!" Wait a second! I don't even like olives! I have never liked olives! But I liked this stuff! A lot! It was something called "tapenade." You olive lovers know what it is. I also had a beef appetizer called "beef carpaccio," which is raw beef, sliced very thinly. I had never had raw beef before, and I couldn't get enough of it... that, and the tapenade. So, Alba is very highly recommended. The dishes are delicious foodie food. Did I mention that they try to get organic ingredients as much as possible? The wait staff is excellent and quite familiar with the dishes. And eating outdoors near a fireplace is very nice. This is maybe the best food I've ever eaten! I mean it's very very highly recommended!
