User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsIt is not only women that these places try to rip off. I took my car in for an oil change. The coupon included a free brake check. When I returned it was noted on my receipt that my front brake pads had 3/32 (.09375 inch) remaining and the rears had 2/32 (.0625 inch) remaining. I told them I would make an appointment and come back. I was worried about driving my car so I went straight home and parked it. A mechanic friend of mine offered to replace the brake pads at my house so I didn't have to take a chance driving my car. Upon removing the front pads he measured .230 inch of pad remaining. The rear pads had even more pad remaining. Nothing needed to be replaced. Never again will I go to Meineke.
