This is now SoBo Animal Hospital, run by Dr. Clint Kay. Clint and his team are outstanding -- caring, professional, detail-oriented. Whether they've been handling our new pets or helping us say good bye to our old guys, the compassion and tenderness that they show my pets and me can't be beat. We've had animals with complex medical conditions late in their life. Clint and his team have helped us navigate these waters, making sure that my pets' quality of life remained high until the end. You will find the SoBo team will go above and beyond (including calls in the middle of the night) to help your pet! Can say enough about them! Wouldn't trust anyone else!
We have used Dr. Bock for 30 years (he was fresh out of CSU) with 2 cats and 7 dogs. We field train dogs, compete with them, and love the heck out of all animals.
Dr. Joe was able to diagnose an autoimmune disease in a much beloved 6 year old dog when CSU and other vets had pretty much given him the kiss of death. The dog lived 11 years longer with a simple medication regiment.
Not only is he one of the most compassionate men I have ever encountered, but one of the most knowledgeable. He reads the owner along with examining the pet and will not order costly testing if he does not believe that the results will benefit the animal or satisfy the owner.
We have also seen him reassemble a 2 year old dog when she was "parts-is-parts" and save her life (she later became our son's buddy and lived to the ripe old age of 13). The owner thought that she was disposable and Dr. Bock did not agree.
I have asked him was is the worst part of his work and he says that destroying an animal for the owner's convenience rips his heart out. If you want this service, please don't burden him.
Although we live about 40 miles away, we are certain the drive is worth it, even when it is time for a friend to pass.
Dr. Bock is an amazing vet. He is so kind and gentle and compassionate. Not only is he great with dogs and cats, but he is the best vet around for small animals such as rats and ferrets. Many vets dont have a lot of experience with these animals, but Dr. Bock does. He is very knowledgeable and I wouldn't trust my pets (especially my little ones) with anyone else.
