User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsMcGuckin's is the best hardware store I've ever been to. Note, I say the best, NOT the cheapest. They have abundant, well trained staff and an amazing variety of items, from teapots to seasonal gadgets. Every key I've ever had made there (about a dozen) worked excellently.

McGuckin's Hardware is where to go when no other retailer in Boulder County seems to have what is sought. From a single Phillips head screw on up. I spent months hunting a tool, a "Japanese" sod knife, all over Boulder County and the web. In a phone call to McGuckin's the manager I spoke to understood just what I was seeking from my lame description. She assured me that the sod knife would be in stock "soonest". A week later I was able to purchase 3 of the best handheld weed pulling tools ever made, the "Japanese" sod knife.
For more than 20 years I have gone to McGuckin's for tools/ supplies. Other hardware retailers are fine but if I want to find any specific hardware supplies I go to McGuckin's. From paint to pet supplies; from fasteners to camping gear, it can be found at McGuckin's. Granted, this is a hardware store that isn't for everybody. But if you can't find it in other hardware stores in the area, McGuckin's has "it".

Fun, fun, fun! It's almost a weekend tradition to go to McGuckins. It's a place with character (and unfortunately for my wallet) lots of good stuff for the house, car, dog, holiday, etc., etc. I always see 2 or 3 people I know on weekends. Don't miss it.
