Mountain Shadows Montessori School

Although the elementary school education is very good for reading and math and social skills - the preschool is cold and so are the teachers and especially the Director of the School. We never felt welcome when we went into the classroom which was at most 4 times per year. My daughter at age 4 was reading in her former Montessori school where all records were transferred so this school was aware and she can barely read now at age 5 1/2. It was a struggle to get her to class every day and we have now pulled her out of the school and are sending her to Heatherwood. After a month we tried to switch to another 'warmer' teacher as we originally requested and were refused and told to 'wait it out'. Nothing changed the entire year. My eldest children attended Montessori schools (AMS) in Northern California, Boston and Miami and this is the worst. We had planned on sending all 3 of our children to Mountain Shadows but now have been very impressed with Heatherwood, our public home school, and will send them all there now. And save lots of $ too!
