We Came in for sunday brunch, a few months back, were greeted by a Rude, Older Lady that must be some kind of manager because she was yelling at our waitress. she actually made a Rude comment to us for being 15 minutes late for our reservation. as if that was not enough, while we were sitting down getting ready to enjoy our brunch we were welcomed by a Cockroach in our cup of fruit. the waitress (that Smelled like a bottle of wine and a half a pack of cigarettes) kindly exchanged our cup of fruit with a bug free cup like this happens all the time and is a regular operation. The food was good, minus the roach in our fruit, but the service and greeting team were satisfactory at best. The Floor was dirty and so was the glasses, front door, bathrooms and a stained chair ( i have sat on cleaner toilet seats in remote rest areas)..........maybe they have worn out their welcome in the restaraunt industry.
We came back for my wifes birthday for a romantic dinner a couple weeks ago, was greeted by the same rude lady, the food was pretty good, wife had the seafood augratin (and for some odd reason she had to call in sick for work the next morning with diarrhea) and i had the rack of lamb that was actually excellent surprisingly. we came on a monday night and i wish we actually came on a more busier night just so we could maybe meet the general manager and complain about the rude older lady that hosted us to our dirty table, if we ever do go back it will be on a weekend when an actual manager should be on duty

While we spent more than $150, the service was good, our waitress was a 4o-ish looking woman, can't remember her name. She was professional and efficient. Let's start with coming through the door. The foyer looks nice with the flowers and antique bureau, but the rug was dirty and it smelled rather strange. The glass door looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time and the woodwork was quite alarmingly dirty and warped. We were greeted with a complete casual hello by a woman, small in stature and mechanical, who seemed very disinterested in us dining in the restaurant, even though it was our anniversay and we said that when we made our reservation. Hostess put us where we had to go down a few stairs, and while grabbing the railing to go to our table, it was sticky and disgusting. Our table was near the window and the view was nice of the mountains, however the chair I sat in was stained, and the back of the chair was also sticky. Our waitress smelled like a cigaret break. The appetizer was nice looking, but the ice under the shrimp was melting quite a bit, and the rest of the condiments were warm. We ordered some wine, it was delivered without delay, and the room started to fill up. We noticed that there was glitter on the stairs, and wondered if there was a party there the night before. The carpet looked quite stained, large antique furniture was dusty and looked like it had been employed for many, many years. With paying this kind of price for food, you would think that the surroundings would be much nicer and cleaner than they were. Our meals were alright, but not worth the price. On my one and only trip to the bathroom, I found it not to be very clean and the mirror was smudged with what looked like last night's kitchen grease, and the antique piece was full of dust and had a sorry looking fake flower arrangement, also full of dust. On our way out, we just left. There was no one there to say goodbye to or to thank us for spending our hard earned money on an adventure we thought would be much more than it was. We are thinking next anniversary, we will not go back to the Briarwood. It needs a real good cleaning, an updated greeting team who genuinely wants to be happy to have you there. There are other restaurants in the area who care, but we feel Briarwood doesn't. And you would think they would with their prices. We thought we would match price with quality, but it doesn't come close.

Brunch is phenomenal. Definitely highly recommend it, compares to the best restaurants in New York or Los Angeles.
