I must say there pizza was very good. I was pleasantly surprised. The only thing I was dissatisfied with was all they have is canned drinks and no ice....I can live with that if it helps keep them affordable.

My Wife LInda and I visited Leadville in late January. The day we were there, it was 13 degree and the wind chill must have made it much colder. We had a wonderful time at the Mining Museum and while there we asked the host where we could find some good Pizze. She told us about High Mountain Pie's, stating: "it's the best in the world". Well, knowing how much I/we love Pizza, and how many different places, states and countries we've had really good Pizza, I was ready to settle for top 50 Pizza. By the time we were half way through the Pizza we ordered, we'd ordered another one to take for later - it was so good! I don't know if it's the best in the world, but it's certainly as good as any pizza we've ever eaten. Needless to say, we highly recommend High Mountain Pie's to anyone who loves their Pizza. And by the way, do not judge the quality or quantity of the their pizza by the size of their restaurant. Just count the number of Pizza they make while you are waiting for yours, for a good indicator of just how popular this Pizza shop is... We would highly recommend High Mountain Pie's to anyone who likes pizza.
