About:Do not let the brown, unmarked door fool you. Inside, this old Nederland watering hole is a rare view of mountain history and culture served with some delicious American and Mexican food. Known in town as the PI, it is worth a visit if just to view the rustic decor of wagon wheels, horse saddles and cowboy paraphernalia. On weekends live music booms about the dining room. Non-smoking and smoking sections are available. No children at the bar.

    The PI is one of the local's place to hang out. The latest news can be heard (the kind that rarely makes it to print). Daytime it is pretty quiet. Evenings are a social gathering. When the band starts, the night folks come out and enjoy the space. The mexican food is very well served. Big burgers and other sandwiches are also great along with daily blue plate style specials. The atmosphere is very friendly. If you are visiting just ask anyone in the PI for directions or other interests in the area. They are always willing to assist.
