About:Trout Haven Ranch is your family fishing and vacation headquarters! The whole family can have a fun-filled, successful day of fishing at the Trout Pond and the Trout Haven Lodge and Cabins provide the perfect place for groups and family reunions to gather together. We are centrally located on a 12 acre meadow bordered by the Big Thompson River, just 1 1/2 mile west of downtown Estes Park and 2 miles from the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. Enjoy river views and wildlife plus hiking.

    My Visit: Many years ago, my family went to Trout Haven and had quite an enjoyable time. Mostly it was my parents and a few combinations of aunts and uncles with an occassional grandparent. It was summer and the evening air was cool. We would often fish at the stocked pond as kids. One night when my brother and I were fishing he yelled out, "I got one! I got one!" Keep in mind we were both younger than ten years of age at the time. He must have had a large fish on the end of his pole because it was taking all his strength to reel it in. He went out to the point of a large rock near the edge of the pond. The next thing we knew was that he had fallen into the pond to the amusement of everyone there that night. He will be so proud I posted this story.
