I have bought 3 cars from Pedersen Toyota, and the experience is always great. My salesman was very knowledgable and nothing but professional. Thanks Bo! My finance guy was great with my kids and told me about all my options and was not pushy in anyway. Thanks Brady! I also use the service department at Pedersen Toyota and they are awesome to deal with. Great job Pedersen Toyota, best dealership in town.

They really sucked when it came to buying my used Toyoto Corolla. They did not have the emissions test done upon purchase so I had to take the car back to get it tested. The tech said that it would not pass and that it leaked exhaust. The manager told the tech to "make it pass." and the tech finally passed it by fudging the answers and said you just have to rev the engine, bull. It still stinks and leaks exhaust to this day. They have helped to cause global warming and stinky driving by selling a car that does not pass emmission tests. The sales manager was for crap and the salesmen use the "let me ask my boss" trick, where they sit and make you wait.

I was ripped off on buying a used car from Pederson Toyota.

The Sales staff straight up and pleasant to deal with. But the Finance guy who also pushes extended warranty and prepaid maintenance was horrible and the second Finance guy lied.

The first Finance guy kept telling me about the risks of not getting an extended warranty, he has heard about $6000 transmission issues right after the warranty expired. With the the new hybred technology, the risk of failure is higher. Also I should get the prepaid maintenance as the 30K mile service was really expensive...but could not tell me how much. Really made me wonder about the value of the car. I talked about the incident with the Sales person who reassured me about the car and stated that he was a Sales Guy filling in. That when I closed on the car I would not be dealing with him.

The second Finance guy apologized about the first one and proceeded to ask me about the extended warranty. He would give me a deal because of my problems with the first guy. I told him that I could get a better deal for with external warranty group (warranty Direct). So he lowered the price if I bought right away.

Then he pushed the prepaid maintenance. I asked about the 30K service cost and he stated it was $850. I asked what do I get for 850? He showed me a list of very simple changes (filters). I stated I could do that for less than $100 in an hour. He replied that with hybrid technology, there are a lot of service concerns. So I asked about the Hybrid service concerns for oil and filter change (none), rotate tires (none), air filter (none), cabin filter - he stated that was complex. I told him that it is behind the glove box...he replied that there were a lot of hybrid devices behind there...incredible.

A week later, I call about the 30K service, the Service Department stated that the basic service was 150 and the deluxe 299. A far cry from $850. I called the Sales Guy and stated that the Finance guy misrepresented the costs, which is basically fraud. He had the Finance guy call me back and he stated that it was for all three services, not the 30K...that I mis-understood. I stated that the first Finance guy stated the 30K was expensive, that is all I wanted to know about...I stated I even had 30K next to my pen. The Finance guy then told me that my pen was next to the full services, which misled him. I then replied that my pen was on my notes, which was a separate piece of paper.

I find it unethical that they make statements and costs up and then try to blame the customer. The two Finance guys were not there for the customer and will take advantage of those that are unknowing about cars. Totally unethical and fraudulent.

The Sales team was great, the Service group responsive, but the Finance (warranty) guy almost killed the deal and left a very bad taste in my mouth.

So Buyer Beware for those going to Pederson. Go ahead and buy the car, fast path by the Finance guy and get a better extended warranty at Warranty Direct. As for service, use your favorite local shop.
