I do not understand why the health department ever let this place reopen, and have they been back since? The restaurant was horrible, and the food even worse. The new manager needs more training on how to handle complaints. She refused to come to our table when we asked for her and she made our poor little teenage waitress handle everything. This place needs shut down once and for all.
The food was fine but the flies drove us nuts throughout our meal. The place looked dirty despite the dim lights. The new manager claims to be unfamiliar with the details of the closure because he was not there at that time. What a fabulous new manager he will make, not knowing the details of the past and not acknowledging a complaint but questioning it? It sounds just like the perfect guy to drive the remaining restaurant business into the ground. Happily, I report we did not get any food bourne illnesses. I think we were just lucky. The manager didnt acknowledge my complaint of the flies, but questioned "flies in Greeley?" Sarcastic in Sacramento, Kerri
Today's Greeley Tribune (July 15, 2008) reports that the Greeley Armadillo has been closed by the Weld County Health Department for repeated egregious food safety violations. Considering the hair-raisingly unsanitary conditions in most local establishments here, that's saying something. But surprising? Not to those of us who've eaten there.
