My husband and I wanted to eat sushi and heard good reviews about this restaurant so decided to give it a try. We ordered their California Roll and it was probably the most skimpiest sushi that I have ever eaten! The nori was very hard to bite into and the amount of crab that they put was a joke, especially when I am paying $7 for 8 pieces! I am normally a fan of sushi, but honestly, I will say that the Safeway off of 47th Avenue makes WAY BETTER sushi than this so-called sushi restaurant. The customer service was OK--they don't seem to really care about you, just want to sit you down, take your order and get you out the door, how lovely! I probably won't be returning back to this restaurant.
I just experienced some of the worst customer service. I ordered a to-go special and after my food was ready I saw a table to sit at on the patio, so I sat down to eat. There were other tables available and other customers eating to-go out there as well.
2 things happened:
1 - They kicked me out and told me I could not sit or eat there. So embarrassing. I move to the patio of the adjacent restaurant, which had no problem with me eating there.
2 - I called them after I finished eating to speak with a manager. Not only does the lady not put me on hold, but I can hear everything she is saying. She refers to me as the lady that I kicked out. She then tells me the manager is unavailable and will call me back
I'm a loyal customer to here cause they have always had great food at a great price with friendly service. I now hesitate to go back. They simply could have told me their policy instead of embarrassing me and being just plain rude.
Word to the wise for anyone who is in customer service or works with people in general. There is no need to be rude, humiliating, or inconsiderate. Your customers are the reason you have a job and if you are polite, courtious and accommodating, you'll keep your customers coming back again and again.
Very disappointed with this experience and questions if I will return.
Really? If you get something to go, then get it and go! The people that eat on the patio don't actually get it to go, they order it and tell them they want to eat outside! They change what they serve the food on and give it to you to take outside, so that if a breeze comes up you don't break any of their dishes. There are very few times when I've been in there (twice a week for 8 months) when the staff was anything less than polite.
Thanks for the review- good food goes so far- but rude customer service - or even disrespect when human decency would crave otherwise; is absolutely the bitter left behind on an experience.
I will support you! I was looking for a sushi restaurant - and thanks to your view on this place- i wont go.
Being nice goes along way........
Um yeah, its called TO GO! meaning you order it and then GO! what did you expect, they don't make it cheaper for no reason at all. If you wanted to eat it there then eat it there. How stupid can you get seriously.
the reason they probably did that is because they have takeout deals. they probably thought you were trying to cheat the system by ordering it to go (which is less expensive) and then eating there!
Absolutely AMAZING!!! I love this place and I have only tried sushi twice! I am definitely going back as soon as I can!! There are so many options! I went with a friend who knew a little about sushi, so I wasn't totally in the dark when I ordered. I love that there are pictures of each roll and that right on the picture there is a label that tells you if it is cooked, p. cooked, or raw... it was great, the whole experience was great!
