Kite's Cafe closed in March 2008 when Frank and Cindy sold to some concern in the Greater Denver area. Initially they stayed on as cook and waitress for the new operation, called "L C Oriental Taste." But they were nowhere to be seen the last couple of times I was there, and the food is ho-hum. NOT the Kite's of old, which was certainly nothing to look at, but had great food at great prices with wonderful service.
Doubly sad, too, because the city's only real Thai restaurant, the J & J Cafe, closed its doors at the end of January 2008. It was a fine place and I miss it a lot. The restaurant scene in Greeley is in BIG trouble, what with the bad economy and all, and if the Harvest goes under, I might as well never leave my own kitchen again.
Excellent Vietnamese Food!: I have only been there once, and it was a bit pricey, but the food and service was outstanding - couldn't have asked for better and I can't wait to go again!
I can't wait to go back: I just started to go and eat at Kite's Cafe and I think it is the best food I've tasted and I will start telling my friends and family members to go and eat there. The service and the kindness of the owners is excellent and I wouldn't want them to change anything about the inside of thier restaurant. Thanks to the owners for being so kind and courteous to the customers and their family and friends. I'll be back to eat there soon as I get back from Kansas.
