| About: | Patterned after an upscale French bistro, this dining-gem provides a true taste of France without, thankfully, the attitude. As the name implies, crepes dominate the menu. Crepes come crammed with various combinations such as broccoli and bacon, and Alaskan crab and shrimp. There are also plenty of whip cream covered crepe desserts including one filled with banana and rum drenched raisins. Steak, seafood and pasta comprise its specials list, which changes daily. The wine list is surprisingly varied for a French-slanted restaurant. |

My wife and I have been enjoying La Creperie for many years. Recently, however, the price of the meals has drastically increased and the portions have been drastically reduced. The food still tastes as good as it always has, but we cannot justify spending so much for so little. Our lunch today cost us $105.00 (without tip) instead of the usual $40 to $60 (a bit outrageous as it was). Sorry, we will not be dining at La Creperie anymore. A few months ago I would have rated this a four star (good) restaurant. Now I have to rate it at two stars (poor) just for the cost and portion sizes.

My wife and I ate at La Creperie last evening--it was superb. It is the best place we have eaten in Colorado Springs. It is about as authentic French as are going to find anywhere. The decor and layout is classic Paris. I fealt like we were at a real French bistro tucked away on a Paris side street, very small, quiant, aged old world feel. They have more than just crepes which is there specialty (mine was wonderful, a ham, cheese, tomato and swiss covered in a Bechemel sauce). The soups were fantastic and service was great--even for a busy Saturday. We made reservations--glad we did.
My wife and I splurged and still got out of there for under $100 including a $40 bottle of wine, dessert, coffee and a generous tip. My only wish is that they had a larger selection of French red wines--they just had a couple. Other than that, I wouldn't change anything--it it still gets 5 stars. We can't wait to return.
Generally very good. I enjoy the crepes along with the daily specials. The place is very small and it is best to get reservations on the weekend for dinner.
The waitstaff could be a little friendlier but the food is good.
