Well this is certainly not the Midas I was familiar with in the Chicago area. I think the mechanic may be okay as they did fix my exhaust, but I paid for one heck of a lot more exhaust than I ever wanted. My husband was livid when he saw the receipt. Priced too high and very condescending too. Let this be very much the opposite of a recommend.

Good Mechanic: If anyone needs to see a mechanic I would highly recomend them. :) The guy we worked with was Frank Olp.

The Story: So my husbands truck broke down on Saturday so we had to take it to a mechanic. We were driving through the Garden of the Gods when it just sputtered and died like it was out of gas when we had filled it up an hour before. We had it towed to Midas and had them check it out. We got the diagnostic check and it ended up only needing a fuse. There are some mechanics that would have just said it was the fuel pump and charged us for it and then secretly just replaced the fuse but these guys were honest and I really appreciated it. [a fuel pump would have cost us 600 to 700 bucks] We paid 50 bucks for the check and that was it. We also got an oil change on my car the same time and they were really fast with that too.
