I loved this place. Yummy breakfast French Toast with their own multi-grain bread. Place has a comfortable and historic feel. Love the artwork and mixed seating. Seriously a very relaxing and YUMMY place all around!
We were seated right away for breakfast and the waitress was fine. I was expecting a long wait for the food because there are explanations everywhere that say they spend time making the food. The wait wasn't that long at all - maybe 15 - 20 minutes. I had Huevos rancheros and it was served just as the menu described - very good. They should add another women's stall to the restrooms b/c there was always a wait!
I was served a luke warm glass of water as we waited 40 min before being seated. We and other patrons had to ask why there were so many empty tables both inside and on the patio. The hostesses did not seem to notice the empty seats!! In fact, one of them sat at a table wrapping utensils into paper napkins after she grabbed them by the fork tines and spoon bowls without using gloves. Once we were seated, we talked to the manager about these issues. She simply dismissed our concerns. The food was good especially the sweet potato, peanut soup and the Thai noodle salad with tofu encrusted sesame seeds. However, the turkey in the Peak Sandwich was cold so I sent it back to be reheated. The bread on the bottom was as hard as a hockey puck. The service was okay. We will never return because of the manager's response and the indifference of the hostesses.
