| About: | In an area that swells with Old West-style restaurants, this establishment serves as a wonderful taste bud alternative to southwestern fare. This red booth filled establishment provides plenty of room so as not to suffer from the usual Asian restaurant decorating motif of crammed together tables. If you enjoy the taste of flame, the menu offers plenty of Thai-spicy dishes, including the Pattaya Seafood and the Pineapple Prawns. Beer and wine are available. |

I had a very bad experience when I went for dinner the other day. The owner Khon was having a loud argument with someone in front of all the customers. She was vulger and rude . We got up and left and will never eat there again. The food was not very good the last time I are there , but a friend wanted to try it. We were shocked at the owners behavior.. Bad Carma
We were staying up the road and wanted something ethnic.
We had 2 appetizers, coconut shrimp and pork satay. The shrimp was good. The pork was extremely tough and had not been cooked in the sauce or coated in it prior to serving. The tiny bowl of peanut sauce was watered down and lacking flavor.
We ordered a cashew chicken dish (#44?) and pad thai with shrimp and chicken.
The chicken in the cashew dish was tough and bland; the sauce was again flavorless. Not being Thai cooks, we don't know what they skimped on.
The pad thai was ordered "Thai hot." It had a little more flavor due to the heat but was lacking key ingredients: the chopped peanuts, the scrambled egg, the bean sprouts, etc. The chicken was tough
The Kendall-Jackson chardonnay was very nice, as were the Thai iced coffee and the Thai iced tea. The staff was friendly and helpful; they refilled our water glasses every time we drank about a 1/4 inch.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area. The food will disappoint.
BLAND BLAND BLAND! Having been a faithful customer of Taste of Thai Spice in south Springs, I was willing to give Wild Ginger a try for some variety, especially after some good recommendations. I couldn't believe how bland and tasteless the food was! I requested medium spice for our meal, which usually in Thai-speak means "make my scalp tingle with heat, please," but I was so disappointed. Won't be going back ever again, although the customer service was very good. Highly recommend you go to Taste of Thai Spice down on B Street (not too shady just off Academy, so don't avoid it just for that) for some REAL thai and heat!
