User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsI am very disappointed with Affordable Rooter. I was recently having sewer problems, and after making several calls, decided to use Affordable's services.
That afternoon, they came to the house, and completed the job. Or so I thought. The sewer backed up again that same night. I called, because they had told me that it was guaranteed, and they came back the next morning.
Upon deciding to use a camera, they found several "breaks" in the sewer line. They cleaned it out again, and recommended that the line be replaced, quoting me $7500 to replace the line.
I, luckily, decided not to do anything until seeing the video of the sewer. (It is my rental house, and I live in a different state.) After looking at the video, and then sending it to my father-in-law (he is very experienced with sewer and plumbing), we discovered there to be only one very slight break. Lo and behold, the line did not need to be replaced!!
On top of that, I got my bank statement the next month, and the company had charged me more than I was told. The icing on the cake was, not only did they charge me a hundred dollars more than they told me, they charged me twice!
I am very dissatisfied, and would not recommend Affordable Rooter to my worst enemy!!!!
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsAffordable replaced the sewer line from my house to the street recently.
After a few issues with sewage in my basement, they cleaned and inspected the line with a camera. It was evident the line needed to be replaced.
Affordable quoted the work. They told me when the job would be done, what would be included and how much it would cost.
I got other quotes as a 'reality check' and in my case Affordable was the lowest quote. I would have used them even if they were not the lowest quote.
About a week later they did the job when the said they would, exactly as they said they would, for exactly the amount quoted.
Every detail was taken care of; they worked closely with the city inspectors, had the locates done and had all the necessary equipment to do the job right. The job needed to cross the concrete sidewalk and the asphalt road, both which were returned to their original condition.
It has been a pleasure to work with this company. I would highly recommend them.
