I hated Chinese food for 22 years until I first ate at Tsing Tao. The food is amazing. They have authentic fried rice and tons of great menu choices like beef with garlic and eggplant. I recommend going before 3pm in order to get the enormous combo lunches for $5.99.
We just moved close to this place. I actually thought their prices were high compared to other places I have been to in town, but decided to give them a try anyway since I got a 10% off coupon on the back of a supermarket cash register reciept.
Apparently I caught them on an off day, or things have gone downhill after the other reviews were posted. I ordered takeout sweet and sour chicken around 4pm on a Friday. It had to have been left over from lunch as the coating on the chicken was pretty soggy. All the food was lukewarm and bland, including the hot and sour soup.
Maybe it would have been better if I tried a sit-down meal and closer to normal meal times. But I'm not going to bother. I'll be returning to my old favorite, Overseas 101 on Academy next to Target, even though it is a little farther to go. Their sweet and sour chicken comes with the sauce on the side, so is always hot and crispy. Plus their prices are lower for a lot more food, and the owners are more friendly than the people at Tsing Tao seemed to be.
Excellent food. Exceptional service. Great prices. Extraordinary value!!!
