User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsAccording to recent news article, the place was refilling liquor bottles with lower grade liquor and reselling it in the dirty bottles. Yuck. He is getting hauled before the liquor board for numerous violations. I know the owner Frank Quintana and I know that he has a lot of people that he won't pay for their products and services, including his employees. He doesn't have a good reputation in town. He has left several landlords stuck holding the bag on thousands in unpaid rents. He would do the tavern industry a favor and leave town. But how about paying everyone first. The Penalty Box used to be a great place, but Frank sucked all the money out and grabbed it all for himself, leaving nothing but crap behind.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsUnder new ownership, so the place is MUCH better now! Great atmosphere, cold beer and electricity!! I love it! New owners are awesome!

You are correct about Frank. However, some new people were buying it from him and trying to make it a better place. Unfortunately, in the middle of the deal, while they were taking over, Frank screwed them! And then all of the liquor board stuff happened. As long as he isn't involved, I think the Penalty Box could be just fine!
