User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWhat a great little restaurant!! We stopped for a late lunch Labor Day weekend.The owner took personal care of each customer. The Bison burgers were great. When asked about pie for dessert there was one left. The owner checked the kitchen and pulled out fresh pies from that morning and served with ice cream. We found the people in the area to be super friendly. We'll be back again!
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsAn Absolutely Wonderful Place for Breakfast: I recently moved into Alamosa, Colorado which is about 30 miles away. I thought it would be fun to visit someplace new. So with help from Yahoo Local I spotted the Old West Cafe.
What a great idea this turned out to be. The owners Biat and Jennette are from Switzerland and they were an absolute delight. How wonderful to see really happy people enjoying their restaurant. The greeted us warmly and really enjoyed making sure that our visit was special.
The decor was Old West as you would expect.It created a home-like, friendly atmosphere.
I apprectiated the special fact that they had flavored creamers on the tables rather than just the usual plain half-and-half in most restaurants. This made my coffee more enjoyable as I added the Ammeretto, Irish Cream and French Vanilla to my coffee.
I had Bisquits and Gravy which was delicious. It had a smooth flavor more like you would find in some elegant fine dining restaurant. My friend had a huge thick pancake that filled the plate.
Very reasonable prices! I can't wait to go back and try other things, like the Sloppy "George" for lunch.
So Pardners ... I give the "old West Cafe a ratting of 10 Stars!!!!!!!!!!
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsGreat little place: I eat here often and I love the menu, the food is great and priced affordable, they have a great breakfast and lunch menu. The owners are friendly and love to meet people. Great place to meet friends or stop on a long road trip. This is my favorite resturant.
