While driving to Pueblo on US 50 we saw the red barn in Montrose.. Lots of cars.. busy.. had to be good right? WRONG! We both ordered full racks of baby back ribs. Both were waaaaaaay overcooked. My veggies were cold and my wifes french fries and veggies were cold also. The soup was tasty but barely warm. This place is NOT worth it and Outback (in Pueblo) has better ribs.. Well sizzler probably is better avoid this tourist trap..
I've been dining at Red Barn for years and have yet to receive one meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner) that I have been disappointed in.
Quality is above average and the menu offers a wide range of selections to suit just about every taste. Affordable, convenient and delicious, I love Red Barn and visit at least once a week with my extended family.
Thank you Chuck, for offering some of the best in Montrose, and your wait staff is great!
I just got back from a vacation to Montrose, Co. The Red Barn restaurant came highly recommended. Myself and two travel companions decided to take the locals up on their recommendation. I am sure glad we did. The salad was crisp and had lots of healthy greens the house dressing was delicious. I had salmon, which was mouth watering. It was served with a sweet potatoe with brown sugar and butter. I'm still thinking about that. My two travel companions had beef, Prime rib and steak. Both raved about their juicy, cooked to perfection meals. For dessert the coconut cream pie is to die for. Needless to say we were back again several times. The sunday brunch is a must. The homemade breads they serve were terrific. Thank you nice people from Montrose for your restaurant recommendation. Rachel Ray is right when she says, If you want a good restaurant ask the locals. I will be back again when I visit Colorado next year!!!!
