I stayed here for 3 months while working as a consultant at the nearby Air Force base. The Staff was accommodating and provided everything I asked for. I preferred this location over Little America since I could get a microwave for my room and HPI has a hot tub / indoor pool. Much better value for the price.
My experience at the Hitching Post was terrible. I had a swarm of ants attack my babies bottle. Cockroaches climbing up the curtains. With the right management the place could be a great motel. I think its in a bad need of remodeling and I wasn't at all impressed with the staff there was only one person that I came in contact with that was friendly and she was a waitress in the restaurant. Don't stay at the Hitching Post I sure wouldn't recommend it.
Little America Next Time: Not a good experience. The rooms are dated and not in good repair. The exaust fan in the bath did not work, the plumbing was loose in the wall, and faucets could not be completly shut off. This motel needs a complete renovation, and the sooner the better. On the other hand, the coffee shop has good, hot food at reasonable prices. The bar had good entertainment. The motel places a brief history of The Hitching Post Motel in your room. The owner should take this history in hand and do a walk through to compare what he thinks it is , to what it in fact is.

We're you drunk the whole time, I feel sorry for you. If you actually new the hitch now the restaurant is closed, the rooms smell like sewer and half have no air conditioning. By the way Tom did you ask if one employee had been paid in the past 8 months in a timely manner. Oh yeah the hitch has not only screwed it's employees, but the city of Cheyenne. I feel most sorry for the visitors of Cheyenne Frontier Days in 2009
