About:This downstairs gem has the culinary distinction of being one of Aspen's few Asian fare restaurants that cannot be described as hip and happening. But what the restaurant lacks in style, it makes up in affordability. The menu heaves big emphasis on serving healthy fare and all the items are MSG free. For entrees opt for the Crispy Duck or one of its specialty dishes such as the the Baby Bok Choy, or the vegetarian-friendly Yu-Shan Eggplant. Most lunch specials fall under $6.

Good Chinese Food in Aspen: I was a little hesitant to try Little Ollie's because I couldn't find any other reviews except a review at another web site. We were pleasantly surprised by our experience and the food was very tasty. The place is not exactly elegant, Very basic square tables in a small restaurant. We went on a Tuesday night at around 6 PM and the place was less than half full. The prices are typical for an Aspen restaurant (i.e., a lot more than you would expect for this type of food). I ordered hot tea ($3.95) and they brought me a kettle of tea that wasn't even steeped. I had to wait for at least ten minutes before the tea was even drinkable. My daughter ordered a diet coke ($2.00) which was served in a can. For our meal selections, we tried the Kung Pao Chicken ($14.95) and Beef Broccoli ($15.95). The Beef Broccoli wasn't on the menu but they had no problem preparing the dish. The food was served with a large bowl of white rice. Both dishes were very tasty. We liked the beef broccoli the best. The beef was very tender. Overall with tax and tip the meal was $47.00. Not exactly a bargain for two people with no alcohol but we did have enough food to take home for a snack.
