My boyfriend and I stopped at this cafe, excited to support a local business and enjoy some good food on our travels back to Colorado. We ordered our breakfast and then waited and waited and waited for the food. Two tables who ordered AFTER us were served their lunches before we ever received our breakfast. I voiced my concern to the waitress, who told me that she would not ask her aunt (the cook) because she didn't want to get her head chopped off and told me that I could ask her aunt if I desired. She also told me that it would be out soon. I was content to wait since it couldn't take much longer for our order of two eggs each. She then told me that the other tables received their food first because hamburgers were easy to make. (Easier to make than eggs??) Next, she proceeded to wave her order book within 6 inches of my face, yelled at me that she put the food orders in the way that she received them. I told my boyfriend we would need to leave immediately. I've never had a waitress yell at me, wave things in my face and then tell me to leave if I wasn't happy. I asked a reasonable question and received an extremely unreasonable response.
I love this place! When I lived in Ten Sleep the owner, Barb, worked at the Flagstaff. I enjoy the portions, the taste and the price. The building is a little small expecially on Saturdays when it is packed. The waitress' are very friendly and the atmosphere is very comfortable.
This place is a piece of history. It has the best breakfast and lunch in town. Just good downhome fun--lots for your money
