Will Never Stay There Again!!: Where to start.......I stay at motels every weekend for about four months out of the year. This little motel was 65.00 a night, the place smells like an old place with a facelift. Little bars of soap, no shampoo, no extras what so ever. Two full size towels, two hand towels, two washclothes. No cable t.v. just local channels.
Small coffee pot with 2 sugars, 2 creamers, 2 sweet and low and nothing to stir it with.
We used the stove to cook a frozen meal, had to ask the manager to hook the stove up. The manager made it very clear we better clean up after ourselves, asked us if we had cleaning supplies and rags to do this. I quess we were suppose to clean the cobwebs that where on the lights to. Also make sure that you turn down the heat and turn off the lights, as it is posted in the room.
When we wanted to use the microwave the last morning of our stay, we were totally disgusted to open it and find some kind of vegtables and dried up juice all over the glass tray, looks like it had been there for a long while.
We wiped the oven out to make sure we left it clean and the rag was black with residue. When I brought this to their attention, I was told it is because the hunters dry their boots in the oven and they can not get it clean.
I have made reservations in the states of Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon and Wyoming.
I make reservations to stay 2-4 nights every weekend, we may have to cancel the last night, we do not know until the day before.
I have never had any other motel charge for the last night if we did not need to use it.
We quarantee 2 nights, but we do not know about the 3rd or 4th. We have always been told to make the reservation for all 3 or 4 nights, we pay for the first two nights and pay as we go after that. Or we pay for all of the nights and get a refund if we do not stay the extra nights.
We where told at this motel if we only paid for two nights, they may rent the room to someone else and you would be without a place to stay.
So I paid all three nights, gave the management a 19 hour notice that we will not be staying the 3rd night.
Well because it was not a 24 hour notice they would keep our 65.00, and will refund it if they rent the room to someone else.
When I first booked our room, I was told the cancellation policy was 72 hours , when we got there it became a 24 hour notice.
I thought the cancellation policy was to cancel the whole reservation not just one day.
Lesson learned for me, I check every time when I book reservations now and so far have had every motel tell me, just pay for the nights you need to stay.
We will never book a room with this motel again, we felt so uncomfortable there. We felt as if we were going to make some kind of mistake by not leaving the room clean enough.
I will follow up and let you know if I get my refund!!
