Deerfield's is one of the biggest coffee shops I've ever seen, especially in a small town. It looks like it used to be some sort of major store- like a furniture store or a small department store. The high ceiling shows the huge timbers that support the roof, and the large room is divided into cozy places to hang out. At the back is the food and beverage service, and scattered here and there is merchandise. You must step up to the counter to order but that means that there is no pressure to order. Locals and tourists come in to sample the casual attitude and take advantage of the free wireless or the free computer terminals. We were camping in the area, and it was just the place to kill a rainy afternoon or check your e-mail.
