   What can I say about the Aspen Mobile home community? It is literally a SLUM run by a SLUMLORD. Little or no maintainence is ever done on any of the units. This "community" is the worst place possible to live near Casper. A rundown 2 bedroom rents for $550 a month with a $550 deposit for a junky ass mobile home that should have been bulldozed years ago! $750 for a 3 bedroom junker. If you move there plan on doing all your own maintenence & buyiny all new window coverings & try to get used to the smell of 25 year old carpet saturated with dog & cat piss! You cant walk across the floors without feeling like they are going to colapse. It is too bad housing is in such short supply that people have no other choice but to live there & I feel sorry for them. I know from personal experience about this "community". What a worthless rundown bunch of crap most of these trailers are, I'm sure there are a few ok ones (very few). Most of the skirting is broken or missing, no painting is EVER done, there are holes in the walls & hey if a door was missing from a room then they will just put any old door from a closet in it's place & TRY to make it fit! What a F&*%@#$ joke. All the moulding is either loose or missing with nails sticking out from there & the walls too. I know a person who put in a work order back in April 07 when they moved in to fix the outside water spiket & they NEVER fixed it & here it is Jan.
   08! If you are thinking of moving there PLEASE try to find something else, in the winter your heating bills will skyrocket & you will bake in the summer unless you put in a BIG swamp ccoler or air cond. There is a speed trap set up by the Evansville Police on Lathrop road nearly all year long. I know this first hand. There are NO street lights on Lathrop road once you pass the Outback Steakhouse & in the summer many people from this "community" walk down Lathrop road to the Mini Mart with thier kids & many time I have come close to hitting them at night & soon somebody is going to be killed walking on this road at night I can amost Guarantee it! When the wind blows don't plan on getting much sleep cus the "homes" rumble & creek all night long, it sucks! & so far this winter the wind has blow a lot! One of the "homes" had its roof blown off this month (Jan. 08)
   So it was bulldozed, GOOD! Bulldoze them all! What the hell is wrong with you city of Evansville? Can't you see it is a crime what the owner of this shithole is getting away with? Or don't you care? Probably not since nothing is ever done. I HATE that place & advise anybody thinking of moving there DON"T do it! It should be called the "Last Resort Mobile Home Community". Take a look at one of the units for rent & see for yourself.
   Why aren't some of thes units inspected & condemned? They are lterally SHACKS! If you move there please enjoy the trash littered field along Lathrop road it sure is perty!
