One of the finest hotels in Idaho - Bar None!!: You couldn't ask for a better Romantic "Get-Away" for the week end! The rooms are beautiful, the service is exceptional, friendly, courteous and on top of that, they are nice people too. The Sunday brunch is the best ever! It's on our list for frequent returns.........Thank You Ashley Inn!! Bob & Karen Scott
A place of restoration: My hustand and I went to the Ashley Inn because of friends who loved it there. We had been working very hard in our business and were so tired and a little depressed. We walked in to a gracious lobby that looked like a home. A roaring fireplace, comfortable chairs and quiet music playing. That was just the start of our romantic time in this place of luxury and rest. Our mood started to change dramatically after seeing our beautiful room.
The staff were so helpful and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We live in a suburbs of Los Angeles and it was so refreshing to walk thru the trees to the lake, looking at the wildlife everywhere. We kayaked on the lake with the white pelicans. I am sorry this review is so long but I needed to share with others out there that this is a good place to be restored. Thank you, Burton and Dolores Michaelson Granada Hills, Ca
Highly recommended to us: And we weren't disappointed. Friendly, warm & comfortable. Breakfast Buffet was delicious and we had plenty to eat. We borrowed their snowshoes to hike along the Payette River to see the bald eagle, ducks and great blue heron. The trumpeter swans were there before us, but we missed them.
Snowmobiling was a blast. We were able to rent them in town.
Our son and his wife went skiing at Tamarack, which was only about 25 min. north of us. We went up with them, but stayed in the warm "Canoe Grill".
Last year we went on the sleigh ride to feed the elk. You should see the pictures we got. I've never been so close to a wild elk before. They were majestic.
Returning to the hotel after dinner, we were served cookies, hot from the oven at 8 pm. They do that every night all year round.
Our room was decorated differently than our son's. Turns out each room is different, just like your own home. It reminded me of a large B&B. We each had our own fireplace and a sitting area. The large bathrooms have a soaking tub. Our son upgraded to a room with a therapy tub in it.
I'm glad our friends recommended it to us, and we'd highly recommend it to you. Melissa & Robert, Boise, Idaho
