| About: | Serving Boise diners since the 1970s, this simple Thai restaurant is located in a strip mall. Even though the decorations are plain, it boasts one thing that no other Boise restaurant can: the only Thai cuisine in town. Meals begin with standard Thai soups, like Tom Kah Kai and Tom Yung Koong, and other traditional appetizers, such as a generous helping of spring rolls. Entrees include the popular Pad Thai, Shrimp with Lobster Sauce, and even Chinese dishes, like Almond Chicken. |

The food is below average, not fresh, spoons and plates are not very clean. Not too many items. But the attitude of the owner is very unprofessional and not at all welcoming. She was probably expecting a higher tips but we gave her whatever we thought was reasonable. We went to this restaurant few times and finally decided not to go there anymore because of her attitude.
First off, I'm Thai and this place is not authentic, but if you like getting overcharged for over-sweetened msg-ladened food, then this is the place for you! I am forced to go there occasionally because my office group thinks this is the only place where vegetarians and non-vegetarians can eat cooperatively (what about Mongolian BBQ, Pat's Thai Kitchen, or Mai Tai?). Every meal I have had there has been sweetened to the point where I might as well be eating a dish that's dessert/entree all-in-one. They charge 20% gratuity for parties of 8 or more and the hostess failed to tell us about the daily special (probably because its cheaper than the regular lunch specials). I'd rather go to McDonalds, at least I would only loose $3 for a crappy meal.
EXCELLENT atmosphere, BEYOND excellent food... Lunch is very casual, Dinner time the waitresses dress in Thai attire !! Very cool ! The head waitress / Hostess is so very friendly , a must eat restaurant : ) A sure bet for taking out of town guests there !
