Hudson's Hamburgers

Avoid this place if you don't want to get sick.... First time in look for the pan of raw burger meat on the counter and cheese and raw veggies right next to it. I worked in Cour d' Alene for a number of years and never saw them wash their hands or refrigerate the meat. High prices for a simple burger without fries. Don't even think of asking for a shake.

Mark does not know what he is talking about. The meat is refrigerated until it is taken out of the refrigerator and placed in the stainless container on the counter. The meat does not last long enough to get warm before it is cooked. Hudson's get's inspected by the Health Dept all the time and it passes. No one has gotten sick in almost 100 years of serving hamburgers!! I cannot think of another business in CdA that has lasted as long as Hudson's.

Best burgers ever! get a "double cheese both" with some coconut cream pie and you won't be dissapointed! I now live 4000 miles from Hudson's and I miss it every day!!! Does anyone else remember about 10-15 years ago when McDonald's went in down the street, and then went out of business after 5 months? I have a picture of the line from Hudson's going out the door and down the street in front of an empty McDonald's! once again, Best Burger EVER!

totally overrated. cant get lettuce or tomato on the burger,they dont have french fries, good luck getting a seat. one time and out for this place. the burger itself is good but nothing to write home about

People like you would never understand the concept of tradition. 15 Bar Stools and the truth is all anyone needs to know about the best Hamburger joint in the United States - bless the Hudson family for keeping it going for over 100 years and letting us all enjoy!

philip s - that is SO funny. I LOVE the part about good luck getting a seat. Ya think that maybe that means people like to eat there so it is busy all the time?
