    We were looking for a really great steak and found it at the Hydra. Staff was friendly, fun and efficient. Filet mignon was tender, flavorable and cooked exactly to our specifications. Informal atmosphere in the "adult" section (bar booth), a local playing guitar & singing, light enough to see dinner partner's expressions and our food, but dim enough to add a bit of romance. Price was right too! Two adults, a couple of cocktails each, super great filet mignon dinners, and still under $75. We will most certainly stop there for dinner again when driving through Sandpoint, Idaho.

    The Hydra is mainly known for its burger and steaks, even though I wouldn't recommend them. I prefer their fish (i.e. their parmesan crusted grilled cod) and salad bar. Their burgers usually come out either burnt or still mooing.
