First I will say the food is yummy. But the service is terrible!!!Our party of 9 got there a little before our reservation and they sat us that second. We sit down and they get our drink order and we get a bottle of wine. Then after we got our drinks 5 mins later it was another 20 mins before they came back to take our food order. It was a slow night so they weren't busy so its a little annoying. After taking our order they don't come to the table for 30 mins and that is only because the waiter finally paid attention to my FIL(father-in-law). My FIL said we have been here an hour and when will our food be ready. The waiter said NO,you have not. My FIL was quite loud in responding with you're a Liar!Which isn't the best response but anyone who knows him knows that it takes alot for him to get that mad. I have never seen it in the 7 1/2 yrs I've been in the family. He got there real fast by how rude and disrespectful the waiter was and then it only got worst when the fill-in-manager for the night came over. Stacy was so disrespectful, rude, and has absolutly no business being in the customer service industry. Before Stacy came over the waiter had offered up free dessert and that really didn't make my FIL happy becuase he just couldn't believe the disrespect he had to recieve. So the waiter offered to let us cancel our order. We we all thought about it and decided to take up the offer of cancelling the order. The Stacy came over and very rudly said that we had only been waiting for 35mins and we were being unreasonable. Never once did they appologize for the delay or anything. Then when we told her we wanted to cancel the order she said we would have to pay for anything consumed. We said we will pay for our drinks and wine. She said that we would have to pay for our meals as well even though we had still not recieved them. She didn't care that her waiter had offer us the deal and she said that he never said that. Then she told us that if we didn't pay she would call the cops. This thing was so unbelievable. The arguing finally calmed down and they brought out our food and we ate it but it was hard to enjoy. Stacy took $40 off of a $600 dollar tab. Which the money wasn't the issue the issue was the DISRESPECT these people have for their customers. A great girl at our table asked for the owner's info and then when she recieved went to the bathroom and called the number. She finds out the the name Stacy gave her to contact is no longer a partner in business. So still on the phone she goes right up to the girl she is talking to at the front. So Stacy on purpose gave her the wrong info so she ask Stacy for the correct info and Stacy still lied by telling her that Megan, the manager/owner who she needed to contact, would be in on Wednesday and then the hostess said no Stacy Megan doesn't work on Wedneday. So needless to say the are jerks and don't need to be in this business. Also for those considering going there you will be paying about $50 for a steak, $10 for your veggie, and $10 for a side salad. Then there is your drink, appitizer, and dessert if wanted. The dessert are 10-15 dollars as well as the appitizers.
I don't recommend this place based on the rudeness and disrespect that they show you.
My wife Rosemary and I visited the Prime Steak on Thursday 28 February 2008 and we thought it was so good that we returned again for my Birthday on Saturday 01 March '08 and had a fantastic meal and evening, made more enjoyable by Stacy our very attractive server and the other staff. Everybody, from the handsome owner down, treated us with great respect and in an exceptional manner. Normally I prefer pie desserts, like apple, blueberry or rhubarb, but lacking these, I tried the chocolate dessert and it was really fabulous. Really tasty. On our final evening in Park City there was no contest as where to eat dinner. The Prime Steak lived up to all our expectations, and even if I did not return to Park City for the fantastic snow conditions, I would definitely be there next year for frequent visits to the Prime Steak. Rip-off!!! Don't waste your money going to this place! What you get is disappointing. The steak was tough. The dessert small ($13). Everything is way too pricy. I would never go back. There are many other places to eat in Park City that aren't a rip-off.
