Fun time, good music, and lackluster BBQ. Had a quick "Q" taste (Oven baked and smoker finished, ribs too greasy, pulled pork too oily, and brisket too dry. I really want to like this place but have a feeling its time to part ways with Pat's.
I have been to BBQ joints all over the country. From Kansas City to Texas and Memphis. I was actually excited to hear about Pats BBQ on FoodTV, and give it a try. I was very disapointed in the BBQ there. The Brisket had absolutely no Smoke ring and no smoke flavor, it actualy tasted like it came out of a oven and not a smoker. The baked beans were more like bean soup. The pulled pork was very dry. But the corn bread was the good point. the live music was a good point also. Pat just needs to learn to Smoke meat in a smoker not baked in the oven.
Absolutely the most god-awful BBQ I have ever tasted. From hearing all the rave reviews I was so excited to have some great BBQ in Utah. YUCK! I have never - NEVER - spit out a pulled pork BBQ sandwich in my life??! It happened. The potato salad was crunchy and awful. The beans were simply awful. Holy hell- the Pepsi was terribly diluted and disgusting??? The search continues.
