Qwest and DirecTV Qwest Outrageous Practice!
It is amazing to me that Qwest and DirectTV actually get away with this kind of practice. I gave Qwest and DirecTV notification to disconnect my service as of mid-Night May 21, 2009 (Thursday) and send my final bill to my permanent home address in Houston, Texas. On May 28, 2009, not quite 7 days later with a weekend and a holiday (Memorial Day) in between I was referred a collection agency!
I have this service for 8 months and have never late on a single bill so there is NO cause for this.
In addition to this outrageous billing practice, I was also harassed (via phone) numerous times by DirectTV over the next two weeks after I turned in my notice, telling me and asking me why I am leaving them and donât I want to take their receiver to the next location wherever it is that I am moving to. Time after time, I told them, this service was for my home away from home, I am a Professional Engineer and I general working and living short-term in various locations for my job and once it is ended I am on to the next location. I do not know what my living arrangement will be at this new location yet and I do NOT wish to carry their Receiver around!
I found this kind of practice is simply unacceptable and can't NOT believe that the state of Utah actually allow this kind of practice against its citizens.
This review is in regards to Pure water Essentials in Sandy, Utah. I feel that I should make this public about our experience with this company. We purchased the first filter system that specifically indicates that it removes fluoride from the water. My husband works at a water treatment facility in Tulsa, OK. He tested the water after running it thru their system and it shows that it removes zero fluoride. So we called them and they said they would send us a better system for $20.00 more. They did and the same thing happened again. So, we returned the second filter system and they have not returned our money. I spoke with someone yesterday who said she was unsure as to why the money hasn't been returned but she would do it right away and send a confirmation email. I still haven't received it and no one is ever available to answer the phone. I have sent numerous emails with no response. Left messages and no one has called me back. I am truly amazed that this company is still in business because of the way we have been treated. I feel that they are selling a product that is not what they say it is and if that's not illegal, it should be. They sell this product not thinking that anyone would have access to a water facility to test their water but fortunately we did and found that the product is truly not what they say it is. Then with the response and treatment we have received leaves us to believe that they would rather not resolve our problem with their product but to not respond and try to ignore us along with keeping our money for something we have returned. We are extremely disappointed in the service and filter system and hope that no one else ever has to go thru this same experience. The name of the company again is Pure Water Essentials in Sandy, Utah.
