Stopped at Hoover's for lunch yesterday. It was my second visit within a month. The menu had changed. The popular 'club sandwish' was removed. Please serve it again. The food was good, but had less flavor than during my previous visit. It was not the flavor that says you have to eat here anytime you go are nearby. Too bad.
I LOVE Hoovers. I am a bit of a food snob and Hoovers was still top notch in my book. It was recomended to me and I went there with a well worn sense of hopeful anticipation. I found the atmoshpere homey and friendly, the food while simple was very well prepared and the servers competent. If you are looking for a snooty, starch shirt type of place by all means, keep driving but if you are looking for good food, prepared well, priced well in a simple down home atmoshpere than do yourself a favor and stop.

What a wonderful place. Full service restaurant with a very homey atmosphere. We had all you can eat crab on Saturday Night, a tradition. The place was packed. The chef walks around with a big bowl of snowcrab, making sure everyone is full.
Also ate breakfast twice. Both times food was great, service was friendly and very reasonably priced.
It's "Hoovers not Hooters"
