User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsBetter than ice cream, frozen yogurt, gelato or soy ice cream. The sundaes and the concrete are fantastic. It is also healthier than yog or ice crean, or gelato. And Deanna, the mgr, is the best.

Best frozen treat ever! Better than ice cream and frozen yogurt, Nielsen's makes amazing frozen custard that is an absolute delight. Everytime we go through St. George we stop off at Nielsen's and I get a carmel cashew concrete (kinda like a blizzard at Dairy Queen, but WAY better). On a scale of 1 to 10, this place is a definite 10!

This place serves the best ice cream I have had for many years, and I write as an ice cream addict. The vanilla is smooth and creamy with the right degree of sweetness. With a fruit or nut topping, it is wonderful. I was so impressed that I now have a list of Nielsen's in my car.
The service was charming and swift. I did not understand the menu and was given a full and clear explanation. The restaurant was full of children when I visited but I was quite happy to retreat to my car and enjoy the excellent ice cream in peace and quiet.
