My wife and I ate lunch at the Wrigley Mansion on 3/22/09. She wanted to check it out for future scheduling of a woman's club outing. The bottom line is that she will not schedule it. The food was average, and the view was largely only seen upon entrance to the mansion. This contrasts with a March review by Howard Seftel in the AZ Republic that indicates a 3 course meal on a pay-what-you-think-is-fair should cost / command $10-12. We paid a "charitable" $11 each for my bacon burger with fries / tomato / grilled onion and my wife's beef dip sandwich with fries. The former was inferior to what I recently ate in Sedona at the Los Abrogidas hotel for $10.95. My wife's beef was probably "warmed over prime rib" and overcooked versus her medium rare request. We paid an extra $5 for a relatively poor Pavlova large dessert that had hard meringue, lots of lemon curd, and four blackberries (maybe ranking near the bottom of the 66 recipe versions shown on the Internet, versus a "#1 heavenly variety" that we experienced on a Renaissance cruise ship).

Good place for a drink with friends.: I went on a Friday night for drinks with a friend. The view from the mansion is amazing, and the weather was perfect for sitting out on the patio and drinking wine. I'd highly suggest a visit. It would be an excellent place for a first date or to go have a drink with an old friend. I didn't have any of the food items, but the menu was well planned and well priced.

Very nice: No doubt the greatest place in Phoenix to have breakfast. Of course that's what I would say, I ate there every morning when I visited Phoenix last summer. The food is outstanding and the selection kept me coming back for something new every time. This place is great.
