USDA Prime? This is what this place "claims" but if you put your server on the spot, they will tell you that the filets are only "choice". For the money we paid, they need to be honest about what they are serving. Our server was great but we'll go somewhere else that actually serves "All Prime Beef".
My wife and I dined here recently, and it was a truly awful experience. The dining room was in a windowless basement. The servers aggressively attempted to "upsale" at every opportunity, from bottled water to dessert.
At an upscale steak restaurant, you would at least expect the steak to be good, but it wasn't--it was poorly cooked, fatty and greasy, and for a $30 plus rib eye, quite unexpected. Even though we only had two glasses of wine, salad, entrees, two sides, and no dessert, our bill was over $160.00, which was ridiculous for the quality of the meal. It was an expensive, dreadful experience, which won't be repeated by me.
Average food and service: Our table was too small for the four of us. The lobster bisque was very good with enough pieces of lobster to keep you fishing down to the last spoonful. The only good thing I can say about the tasteless bread was that the butter was OK. Two of our three steaks were overcooked based on Ruth's own color chart. The creme brule desert was good but my final impression is always heavily influenced by my post meal coffee. Anybody can make good coffee. I can make good coffee. You start with good coffee and you serve it soon after brewing. At least one of these two factors was missing in my final cup of Joe. I can name restaurants with more stars that cost far less.
