| About: | This popular neighborhood jewel has recently moved to new quarters, but still dishes up the same satisfying Greek cuisine. The eatery is reminiscent of a cozy and comfortable Greek taverna. A few helpful hints: be sure to try the excellent Avgolemono Soup (lemon-scented, with egg and chicken stock), the luscious Moussaka and any lamb dish on the menu. They will put together an appetizer sampler if you ask them nicely. But remember to save room for the complimentary honey-soaked Baklava dessert. |

I love this place. I was a fan when it was located on Glendale Ave. The food is always good and the owner always comes by to see how you're doing. One of the few places that serves both soup & salad.
If you are a single diner, don't go here!: When I arrived I was ushered to a table in the back of restaurant even tho there were only a few tables in use. I first ordered a glass of wine. It arrived half full or half empty! I then ordered a greek salad and was told that bread would accompany it. The bread came first and was very obvious that it was a leftover from another table from the oil stains on the napkin in the basket and all the crumbs in the bottom. The bread was dried up, hard as a rock like croutons. The salad then came, looked good on the surface but parts of it was wilted and somewhat mushy. It was very obvious that the owner/mgr was more interested in accommodating couples and larger (more profitable) parties. I eat out often and rarely find a place that is disappointing as this one. AND I love Greek food!
Great experience--The Owner is having fun: I had the Mousaka and a Greek iced espresso..A lot of Opas when another diner has a Dish lit up by the owner and he holds it high in the air while it burns with flames. A fun but quiet place..
