| About: | Opened in 1984 by Seamus McCaffery, this lively pub is full of Irish charm. Irish football (hurley) is likely to be on the television. Besides good beer, you will also find some tasty treats. The Traditional Irish Breakfast, served all day, comes with sausage and rashers, eggs, black and white pudding, and soda bread. If you just want a snack, try the Trotters Pork Pies. The best of the house is the Guinness Chicken, a breaded chicken patty smothered with hearty mushroom and Guinness gravy. |

Nice place, I knew it when Seamus first opened it. It was a GREAT Irish Pub then, now it's more like a Sports Bar with an Irish flavor. Too many TVs, not enough Dart boards. Tony Cummings is ALWAYS a plus !!
Some of the food is actually quite good, the shepherd's pie for instance. There's live music most nights and the crowd is a good mix of people, nothing pretentious here. The place is often packed so service can get spotty at times. Decent selection of draft beers, but I don't know if I've ever seen a drink special on any of them. All in all, it's still my favorite bar in the area to just chill with friends.
great experience every time i visit: every time i go to the "dub" as we call it, i have good service, food and drinks are reasonably priced. i recommend that some friday or saturday night you go by to hear great music and have alot of fun.
