Beware of their Service Department.
I took my Toyota Sienna (2004) with A/C issues, serviced A/C. Next day no A/C, back I go knowing I have other issues. After troubleshooting, estimate to repair was $2000 plus to replace evaporator (behind dash). Good thing I decided to wait until I returned home. Note, the cost to service was 1/2 again higher than other shops. I guess this is expected, somehow they must pay for that impressive shownroom etc.
Local repair shop repaired for $450, turned out a line was leaking very noticeable from the dye Earnhardt had installed.
Almost decided to trade for a new vehicle, good thing I didn't.
This is my second and last Toyota, not matter how great Consumer Magazines rate them. With 58,000 miles I've had more service done than any other Van I've owned
Sold me a broken car and said the the sensors were wet and that they would dry in a few days. It was in the shop for 3 1/2 weeks within the first month i had it.
Took advantage of my elderly father 83 - His check engine light was on (1999 Corolla with 42,000 miles) and took it in and was told he needed to leave the car - 2 days later he picked it up after they replaced control arms , tires, changed all fluids, windshield wiper blades, belts and ooh yeah the reason for the check engine light being on was he lost his gas cap!!!!!!!!!!!

Having been in the Auto Service industry for many years, your comment is one of common misconception. To find the code for the check engine light is very basic and I would bet he knew that was the problem before the told him of the safety items. It is also the responsibility of the service dept. to let customers know the items that need attention on their vehicles so that they don't leave, have a problem and then come back and say"how come you guys didn't see that " I would also bet that no one sat on your father's chest and forced him to authorize the repairs after he was given an estimate. Lastly, if you are so concerned about your father's truck you should maintain it for him! And no I don't work for Earnhardt's!!!
I am glad car salesmens are not making money now...
