Owner is a drunk, stares at me and my friends when we try to have a drink after work. Its all old men hitting on young girls.
Great place for the game: Where was this place when I was desparately seeking a place to watch my Chiefs games? I'm so glad I found this place. I'm guessing that I'm not the only Chiefs fan who will be at Sluggo's on gameday. Amongst all of the sports memorabilia, there was a neon Chiefs sign and a few pics of other avid fans. I'm hoping to meet up with my fellow die hards once the season kicks off. The smoke smell is gone, thank you Mesa city smoking ordinance. (someone noted a smell in a review in Dec 2006) I had a basic cheeseburger and it was awesome. The fries were great. I left full and happy. The service was attentive. The atmosphere was sporty and clean. I'll definately be back.
Sluggo's Sports Grill: Food is good, fries are great. Service tends to be a little slow. Always a medium to heavy cigarette smell. Other than the cig smell, it is a fun place to eat. I visit several times a year.
