Our family LOVES this place! The people and food are great! We've quickly become usuals. If you want some good ol' mexican food without paying a fortune, with a fun and easygoing atmosphere, this is the place for you. Plus....you will also love their chips and salsa!!! My recommendation are the shredded beef tacos.
i love this place: i love mexican food to begin with, but this place is YUMMY! The people there are friendly and the food is great. I try to get over there on a weekly basis to have my "usual"
dining on the sidewalk at lunch time.: Who would have thought that eating on the sidewalk for lunch on main street in Mesa in july could have anything like a pleasant experience? The Arizona summer heat was in full force the day I ate at this restaurant. The dining room was full and there was only one table left out on the street. All of the other guests on the street were laughing and seemed to be enjoying themselves despite the oppressive heat and the little cafe came highly recommended for its good service and DELICIOUS--if less than authentic--mexican food. I decided that the recommendations of my friends and family and the positive reactions of all of the other diners were good enough that I should go ahead and give the place a try. So I sat down and my server was all over my drink order almost before I could finish sitting. I ordered an horchata which came out in under five minutes from the time I sat down. The drink was large, sweet, and cold. It absolutely hit the spot. As I sat down under the umbrella and drank my icy drink the heat almost seemed to disappear. I don't think I've had better horchata in or out of mexico. The rest of my food came in short order and was also delicious.
