Yeah, this place poses as a Indie coffee shop, but I think success has got to the owner's head. It used to be great, and their drinks are VERY yummy. For all the people saying, "But it's a business!" Give me a *fing break. This place wouldn't get a bad rap if they understood what it meant to be a coffee shop. Do this test: go to a random coffee shop, buy a drink, stay there for a very long time, maybe buy another drink, and see what happens. 99% of shops as busy or busier will not give you crap and certainly not the level of crap this place does. Pizza joints, bars, cafes (all over the world), street restaurants, malls, and in many many other places it is understood that people pay for the something and the privilege to hang out at the patrons discretion. It is part of the culture and tradition, and its why you find really great coffee shops that have regulars. It is the owner's right to get people moving through there in a production-line-fashion not known even to Starbucks, but don't pretend that this is the way most of coffee shops operate (maybe they should just get rid of all the tables!), and don't pretend that this is some posh coffee shop, and EVEN IF everything I just said is wrong, the negative reviews are only saying one thing: why bother with a place that gives you sh*t if every other shop in the world doesn't. There are better places.
WORSE PLACE ON EARTH....... THE OWNER WAS BEING RUDE TO ME. HE KICKED ME OUT FROM COFFEE RUSH IN GILBERT BECAUSE I WAS COMPLAINING ABOUT THE PRICES WHEN I ONLY HAD A LITTLE OF CASH WITH ME. AND HE THREATEN ME HE WAS GOING TO CALL THE COPS ON ME IF I DONT LEAVE WITHIN THE PREMISES. HE TOLD THIS IN FRONT OF THE CUSTOMERS WHICH IT WAS EMBARASSING. I USED TO ORDER THE MOCHA RUSH AND THE SODA. IT WAS GOOD BUT SINCE I'M NOT ALLOW TO COME BACK ANYMORE I'M STILL GOING TO GO TO ANOTHER COFFEE PLACE!
i LOVE coffee rush. it's within walking distance of my house and my dad and i walk down there before i go to school sometimes. the owner is super nice and really in tune with their customers. when i go in i don't even have to tell him what i want; he automatically starts making my chai :) their chai totally dominates over starbucks, no doubt about it. favorite hang out place by far too! the little lake and the grass and outside seating is PERFECT for fall and winter - even spring. definitely outside is not meant for summer, but i still go. i cant get enough of it. their pastries are really good too :)

Well it sounds to me like you are the one that is rude. If you go in all the time first off why would you complain about the prices, knowing what they are. Second don't you think that you embarassed him by sitting and complaining. I think that it would be a little selfcentered to think that he would just lower the price because you didn't have enough money or even give you something free. Its not his fault you don't have enough money. I think that what it comes down to is that you really liked that place, you running your mouth messed it up for you and now you are butt hurt about it. Get over it and think twice next time.
