User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThough the description says "Mexican-style", and another reviewer says it's Mexican food, don't be fooled into thinking this is traditional Mexican food (I live in El Paso, I know Mexican food lol). It's Southwestern food that is Mexican inspired, which is a great thing because Mexican food does not have the kind of flavor that Carlsbad Tavern puts into their food. Everything we tried was great (lobster enchiladas, sirloin steak salad), and even their chicken tenders and mashed sweet-potatoes were awesome. Next time I visit Scottsdale, this is the first restaurant I will dine at.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsGreat food with a Mexican flavor. Service was good and friendly. Crowded on the weekends, which tells me it's good. Outside seating with entertainment was a plus.

The service was average and the food was average. There wasn't anything very impressive about it to me. I had an average time. I would walk back.
