User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsI recently went with a friend and based on web reviews had high expectations... they were quickly ruined.. we were told they opened at 5pm... wrong.. they changed and now open at 6:00pm.. so we went next door to a place and had a drink and went back at 6:15.. We were told they had a happy hour.. Wrong.. they stopped that months ago. We were seated at a table and asked to move to a couch.. we were told they were all reserved, but the place was empty... after a bit of prodding they let us move to a couch. The atmosphere is dark, which I liked.. but the music was the wrong style and way too loud for social conversation. The staff was rather unfriendly. Parking was difficult, but we expected that based on a web review. Overall, it was very disappointing and we won't be going back.

I will not go back nor will I recommend this wine bar to any of my clients, friends and family. The wait staff knew absolutely nothing about wine. My wine tasted like vinegar and all they told me was it's a new bottle and that's how it is supposed to taste- Hello! did you ever consider that the bottle is bad- it does happen. Only 2 things I liked about the place and it was the setting and the huge book of wines that would take you several days to go through.
If you want service where the staff knows about wine-go to Terroir Wine Pub- Scottsdale Rd and Indian Bend. Good wine and great staff. -

Kaz is a great little bar. The live Jazz on Monday nights is absolutely wonderful. Numerous soft couches make sitting, and conversation, comfortable and cozy. My biggest complaint is that the wine list is so big, and organized by price, that it's difficult to negotiate. Definitely highly recommended.
