We'd been loyal fans of Sahara Restaurant and were disappointed when they closed, but thrilled to find them at their new location: 1804 E. Southern Ave (& McClintock intersection) Tempe, AZ 85282 480-966-1971 It's the same awesome food and very reasonable prices. The ambiance is really nice in their new location - nice paint scheme and decor. A noticeable improvement - but I would have eaten anywhere to enjoy their quality food again! The lentil soup is awesome! I used to always get their salad with the really good tangy yogurt dressing, but one day we tried the lentil soup and it's a staple for us now. My husband likes the Shwarma and curry dishes, but I'm a Chicken Tikka fan! Their hummus is really good as well. :) I've noticed some folks coming in for take-out, so that's an option if you're passing through in a hurry.
