Parking sucks but at least there is a garage across the street. Security is tight to get in but so what? Whaaaa. They have great shows and there is plenty of room to see your favorite band up close. I've seen dozens of shows there. The security only mess with the a-holes. A guy was bothering my girlfriend and security asked to stop. He didn't and was booted. Good for them. If you just enjoy the show they will leave you alone. But the owner could lower the A.C. on the sold out shows. It get way hot in there.
I went to see a David Archuleta show at the Marquee on March 16th, and let me tell you, I've never seen anything like it! EVERY employee there (minus the owner who came outside and talked to us beforehand) was rude and on a power trip. It all started at about 4 or 5 in the afternoon when I saw some guy in the box office insulting and yelling at a customer because she was taking too long to get her ID out of her wallet. I was yelled at by a security guard when I went to my car to get a water bottle because i was taking too long and I was parked too close to the barricaded area where the tour buses park. Then, when actually going into the venue, we were patted down and felt up like we were criminals. I've never even been frisked that thoroughly at the airport. Once inside, we were packed in there like animals and the security guards blatantly teased us by pointing to the giant fans and laughing, but they wouldn't turn them on (until someone fainted). Come on. I know that the Marquee is used to dealing with rowdy fans who are there to see rock bands, but I we were there to see DAVID ARCHULETA. The whole crowd was made up of children, pre-teens and their mothers. It was rather ridiculous.
I have been to many shows at the marquee, and i have never had a bad experience with any of the staff. i do know people who have had issues with security, but i personally have only been treated with respect.
