For over a quarter of a century, this friendly, family-run Middle-Eastern eatery has been serving up some of the Valley's finest regional fare. It's been voted top Middle Eastern restaurant by the both Arizona Republic and Phoenix New Times many times over the years. Simple furnishings and Mediterranean/Middle Eastern artwork and knick-knacks make this a comfortable and cozy dining destination. An outdoor patio provides fair-weather seating. A few menu items include lamb or beef Shish-Kebab, Chicken Shish-Taouk, vegetable combinations (dolmathes, tabbouli, spanikopita, etc.) and Chicken Shwarma.
Unfortunately, this restaurant is not one of which I could recommend. I grew up in the Middle East and eating these traditional dishes, so when I tasted the menu fare it was disappointing!
On a brighter note, the staff was courteous and attentive. However, all in all, I would never send anyone there if they are looking for quality Middle Eastern food.
Incredible: This place is absolutely wonderful. Probably the best Mediterannean/Lebanese food in the Valley. They have amazing service, you can barely even take a sip of your drink without it being refilled. If you're familiar with this kind of food they will recommend something that you are guaranteed to love. The taboulleh is fantastic, all their salads are wonderful, but they specialize in lamb. Just ask them what they recommend and go for it. You will definitely be happy. Don't forget to try the baklava, it's just perfect. Also, unlike most Middle Eastern restaurants they serve alcohol, combine that with being located on Mill and you've got a great way to start a night out. I can't say enough good things about this place. I took my husband, who is Lebanese, here for his birthday and he left very happy and very full.
My favorite resturant in the Phoenix Valley AZ: A little pricy? Maybe, but I can't say no to their menu.
Starter: Vegeratrian Plate - Hummus, Dolmades, Eggplant dip etc.
Main Entre: Any Lamb or Gyro.
Dessert: Taramisu & Turkish Coffee.
Just go. They are the nicest people and if you like Med. food, Go.
